Okayama denim

Okayama Prefecture is the birthplace of Japanese denim. All processes, from weaving to dyeing to processing, are completed within the prefecture, resulting in genuine Okayama denim. High-quality and tough, it features a smooth, luxurious feel.

reactive dyeing

The revolutionary dyeing technology, "Reactive Dye," allows us to create denim that is vivid in color and resistant to fading even after repeated washing.

Origin of the masterpiece

This fantastical and artistic buddy is dressed in colors taken from famous paintings. The moment you line them up in a space, it creates an atmosphere like that of a museum.

Van Gogh's experiment

The concept of the PALETTE COLLECTION is
It was born from the "Van Gogh Experiment" conducted at a British university in 2023.

0.01 - 0.03

This number is the visual acuity of a baby immediately after birth.
At 4 months of age, it is around 0.1 , at 1 year it is 0.4 , and at 3 years it finally approaches 1.0 .
In other words, babies and young children are at a stage before they can see the world clearly.

Targeting infants who are in the process of visual development,
A study was conducted using landscape paintings by Vincent van Gogh.

25 infants aged 18 to 40 weeks (approximately 4 to 9 months) and 25 adults aged 18 to 43 years.
Ten works were selected from 40 entries and presented in pairs in 45 different ways.

Infants were given 5 seconds to simply measure their gaze direction.
The results showed that the more highly an adult rated a work, the longer the infants looked at it.
The winner was Cornstalks (1888)
The least popular was Olive Grove (1889)
What made the difference was the strength of the contrast .
Even though their vision is still incomplete, babies are already responding to the essentials of vision : brightness, color, and contrast .
This study suggests that part of adult aesthetic sensibility may be traced back to sensory biases experienced in infancy .
We found that babies' visual systems and visual preferences are highly sophisticated, and that their sensitivity begins to develop from the moment they are born, not just when they can see.
The PALETTE COLLECTION, which was conceived based on these research results, reinterprets art from a baby's perspective.
We have carefully selected famous paintings painted with high contrast, and embodied their color schemes and techniques in soft toys.
This is the first art that we want babies to be exposed to, as this is an important period in which the foundations of aesthetic sensibility are laid.
